Prefab Sprout - When Love Breaks Down (1985)
According to the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles & Albums, Prefab Sprout are a critically-acclaimed, intelligent, fragile pop band, formed in 1978 in Newcastle. Allmusic state that they are one of the most beloved British pop bands of the 1980s and 1990s, and Prefab Sprout has had a minimum of chart success in the United States, where they are all but unknown outside of their devoted cult following, but singer-songwriter Paddy McAloon is regularly hailed as one of the great songwriters of his era.

The Cure - Just Like Heaven (1987)
If you’re wondering why a lot of my (butterflyeffects) singles are scribbled on, it’s because they were acquired via a radio station music library. Seems the scribbler had no respect for art…
The Cure - Just Like Heaven (1987)
“The man whose head expanded explained
The scriptwriter would follow him around,
Of this he was convinced. it was no coincidence.
The lager seemed poisoned.
It was no matter of small consequence. no little pub incidence.
A red faced post- ’jolly grapes’ would steal his jewels, and put
Them in the mouths of vic. actor fools.
Of this he was convinced.
Sounds like hick wap huh? sounds like a load of mick wap ha?
Over. over. over. over”

Punky pop. Ephemeral and disposable, but fun.

The magnificent Spizz
“Spizzenergi was a late 1970s English punk / new wave band led by vocalist / guitarist Spizz (real name Kenneth Spiers). The band changed its name several times during its existence, alternate names including Spizzoil and Athletico Spizz 80”
